DEEP TISSUE & MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

It is a combination of deep tissue work techniques, direct and indirect myofascial release, neuromuscular integration and craniosacral techniques.

The purpose of direct myofascial release is to produce changes in the myofascial structures, thanks to the stretching, lengthening of the fascia and the mobility of the adhesions between the tissues. Indirect myofascial release involves gentle stretching with just a few grams of pressure, allowing the fascia to relax and “unravel.”

The work of direct myofascial and deep tissue relaxation can be quantified in some way by aspects such as the depth of pressure, the speed of movements, effortless work, correct body biomechanics, a conscious touch and the use of knuckles, forearms and elbows, among others.

They are techniques that are performed without pain, generating a greater degree of relaxation in the patient and their benefits being longer lasting. Deep does not mean strong, painful, or exhausting..., it simply means working on deeper muscle layers. These techniques can be incorporated immediately into the massage you practice.

These techniques have the primary objective of releasing restrictive physical and energetic patterns in the most efficient way possible. On a physical level; relaxing tensions, correcting muscle limitations, releasing myofascial adhesions and causing structural changes. On an energetic level; mobilizing the subtle energies of the body and activating Qi to release energetic and emotional blockages.

We will learn the correct application of techniques and maneuvers step by step in a totally practical training process. The emphasis of this course will be; the development of touch and palpation, learning to perceive the Primary Respiratory Movement (an intrinsic movement of the tissues), learning effortless body work, guaranteeing professional longevity, understanding the functioning of the fascia, exploring and enhancing the ability to "listen" to tissue processes and changes and develop the capacity for intuition that will serve as a creative guide to elevate your skill as a therapist. Likewise, you will learn to recognize and respond to specific individual needs and design sessions based on these needs.
